The Accounting team is seeking a full-time contract Accounting Consultant (IC4 level) to provide interim support during planned team leave coverage. This role is essential to maintaining continuity of month-end and quarter-end close activities while ensuring the accuracy, quality, and timeliness of key financial reporting deliverables.

The primary focus of this position will be compensation-related accounting, with responsibilities that include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute month-end and quarter-end close activities for assigned compensation-related accounts.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations.
  • Perform fluctuation and variance analyses to identify and explain significant account activity.
  • Prepare management commentary supporting quarterly changes in account balances.
  • Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring compliance with company accounting policies and U.S. GAAP.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Payroll, Human Resources, Equity Administration, FP&A, and Finance teams to resolve accounting questions and gather supporting documentation.

Based on business needs and the consultant's experience, additional responsibilities may include:

  • Supporting SEC reporting and financial statement disclosures.
  • Assisting with consolidations.
  • Supporting operating expense (Opex) accounting.
  • Contributing to special projects and other accounting or close-related initiatives.

Qualifications

  • IC4-level accounting professional with strong technical accounting expertise.
  • Experience supporting month-end and quarter-end close in a public company or similarly complex accounting environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and explain account fluctuations.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly present financial analyses and results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.

About the Role

This consultant will serve as an integrated member of the Accounting team, helping ensure business continuity during a critical coverage period while providing flexibility to support broader accounting priorities and initiatives as needed.
