Axiom Support Consultant

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Axiom Support Consultant to provide technical, functional, and operational support for our Axiom regulatory reporting platform. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and a solid understanding of back-end processes and data flows. The consultant will work closely with Finance, Technology, and Compliance teams to ensure the accuracy, stability, and efficiency of regulatory reporting operations.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Application Support

• Provide day-to-day support for the Axiom regulatory reporting platform, including issue resolution, defect analysis, and troubleshooting across environments.

• Monitor data loads, workflows, and scheduled jobs to ensure timely processing and identify/resolve failures.

• Investigate back-end data issues by working with SQL queries, logs, and system interfaces.

Maintenance & Enhancements

• Support configuration changes, template updates, and deployment activities within Axiom.

• Assist in testing new releases, patches, and system upgrades.

• Work with cross-functional teams to analyze and implement enhancements or process improvements.

Data & Reporting Analysis

• Perform detailed data validation and reconciliation across upstream systems, Axiom datasets, and regulatory output.

• Utilize advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, macros preferred) to analyze and troubleshoot data and reporting discrepancies.

• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of reporting data.

Collaboration & Documentation

• Collaborate with Finance, Risk, and IT stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and resolve issues.

• Document processes, troubleshooting steps, test cases, and change logs.

• Support ad-hoc requests, audits, and regulatory reviews as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• 2–5+ years of experience supporting AxiomSL (Axiom) or a similar regulatory reporting platform.

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and advanced formulas; macro/VBA skills a plus.

• Experience with troubleshooting back-end data flows, configuration issues, and system defects.

• Basic to intermediate SQL skills for data investigation.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred:

• Experience in financial services, banking, or regulatory reporting environments.
