What’s the Role?
We are seeking a Senior Financial Systems & Transformation Manager to join our team.
This role serves as the primary administrator for Workday Financials within the Financial Systems function, partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, and cross-functional stakeholders to support, maintain, and continuously enhance the financial systems ecosystem. You will also play a key role in driving initiatives that leverage AI and automation to modernize and optimize finance operations.
This is a contract (IC4) hybrid role based in Brooklyn, NY, with an expectation of two days per week on-site.
About the Team
This position sits within the Finance Transformation organization, under the Chief Accounting Officer structure, and reports to the Senior Director of Global Finance Transformation.
The team combines Financial Systems and broader Finance Transformation functions, collectively responsible for the systems, processes, and strategic initiatives that enable a global finance organization.
Financial Systems focuses on the administration, maintenance, and reliability of core financial platforms, ensuring they remain secure, scalable, and user-friendly. Finance Transformation leads strategic programs, innovation efforts, and cross-functional initiatives that continuously evolve how Finance operates.
This is a collaborative, high-impact environment where technical expertise and strategic thinking intersect. The team is also actively exploring the use of AI and automation to improve speed, accuracy, and scalability across finance processes.
What Does the Day-to-Day Look Like?
End-User Support & System Administration
- Manage support requests and implement system configuration changes in compliance with SOX change management requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve user issues across financial systems
- Administer user security, including role configuration and access controls
- Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and job aids
- Train finance system stakeholders on functionality and best practices
- Partner with transformation teams to implement new features and oversee ongoing administration
Workday Financials Administration
- Translate business requirements into system and process solutions, including configuration of business processes, security, validations, integrations, and new features
- Serve as the primary administrator across key functional areas such as Financial Accounting, Financial Data Model, Banking, Payroll, Assets, Consolidations, and tenant configuration
- Design, build, and maintain custom reports in collaboration with business stakeholders
- Lead planning, testing, and deployment of biannual system updates
- Monitor and manage integrations with external systems, ensuring data accuracy and reliability
- Engage with user communities to identify best practices and improvement opportunities
Auxiliary Systems Support
- Support account reconciliation and task management platforms, including configuration, access management, and integrations
- Provide support for additional systems such as planning, reporting, and procurement tools
- Execute SOX compliance activities including change management, access reviews, and control documentation
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, Treasury, FP&A, Legal, Tax) to ensure alignment across systems
Program & Project Management
- Maintain and enhance project tracking tools, including ownership, timelines, and resource planning
- Develop and manage project plans based on scope and complexity
- Lead projects using appropriate delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
- Communicate progress and outcomes with stakeholders, including senior leadership
Finance Transformation
- Partner with stakeholders to identify and deliver initiatives that modernize finance operations
- Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of AI and automation use cases
- Assess current processes and recommend scalable, efficient future-state solutions
- Support adoption of new tools, systems, and ways of working across the organization

Qualifications
- 4+ years of hands-on experience administering Workday Financials
- Strong understanding of core financial processes (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Revenue Recognition, Close, Banking & Settlements)
- High attention to detail with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to balance compliance requirements with operational efficiency
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end while contributing collaboratively across teams
- Experience working in global, multi-currency environments
- Strong background in system integrations and troubleshooting
Preferred:
- Experience administering procurement and invoicing systems, including configuration and user access
- Familiarity with or interest in applying AI and automation to finance processes
