Go Engineer (Contractor) – Compliance Automation

About the Role:

We’re seeking a mid-level Go Engineer to support a short-term project focused on automating manual tasks within our Risk & Compliance team. This is not a traditional Engineering or Product initiative—this project is all about enabling efficiency for our understaffed Compliance team through smart automation.

You’ll work closely with non-technical stakeholders to understand their pain points and build reliable, maintainable solutions that reduce their manual workload. While you’ll have access to an internal Engineer for technical context and occasional support, you are expected to work independently and drive the technical implementation from start to finish.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and deploy automation tools using Go to streamline compliance-related workflows

• Integrate with external web APIs (ideally in the payments/fraud domain)

• Collaborate directly with the Compliance team to gather requirements and iterate on solutions

• Maintain clear documentation and ensure solutions are maintainable and scalable

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience working with Go (Golang)

• Proven experience working with web APIs and data integration tasks

• Ability to work autonomously and translate non-technical requirements into working software

• Strong communication skills, especially with non-technical stakeholders

• Background in payments or fraud prevention strongly preferred

• Bonus: Prior experience integrating with Sardine

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with compliance or risk systems

• Experience in fast-paced, lean startup environments

• Understanding of common fraud detection patterns and signals
