Job Title: Lead Applications Integration Engineer
Location: Houston, TX (Hybrid – 2 days onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Applications Integration Engineer to support a large enterprise End User Computing (EUC) environment. This role sits within an advanced endpoint engineering function and reports to senior leadership responsible for endpoint platforms and application strategy.
The Lead Applications Integration Engineer will own the integration, deployment, and optimization of enterprise applications across physical and virtual desktop environments. This individual will also serve as a senior technical contributor on platform and application initiatives, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration.
This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence at least two days per week.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze, design, and implement enterprise application solutions supporting diverse end-user environments
• Deploy and manage enterprise software with user personalization across physical and virtual desktops
• Integrate, configure, and support end-user applications in secure, modern enterprise environments
• Troubleshoot complex application and system issues, engaging third-party vendors when necessary
• Configure operating system and system-level settings to improve performance, security, and user experience
• Manage user and system policies to support stability, compliance, and scalability
• Monitor application and system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations
• Serve as a senior engineer on platform, software, and application delivery initiatives
• Partner with engineering leadership on EUC roadmap planning and execution
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across IT teams
• Maintain clear, detailed technical documentation and implementation standards
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline preferred
• 5–10 years of experience in application integration, endpoint engineering, or systems engineering within a large enterprise environment
• Strong experience with Windows OS customization, registry management, Group Policy, and modern endpoint management tools
• Hands-on experience supporting Windows Server and core directory and identity services
• Experience integrating and supporting complex enterprise and line-of-business applications
• Strong knowledge of productivity and collaboration platforms, including enterprise email, file collaboration, and meeting tools
• Experience with application add-ins, toolbar customization, and application interoperability
• Familiarity with virtualization and cloud-based desktop platforms in both on-prem and cloud environments
• Advanced scripting and automation skills for application delivery, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
• Experience using enterprise performance monitoring and troubleshooting tools
• Hands-on experience with user profile management and personalization solutions
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on stability, performance optimization, and root-cause analysis
• Ability to create and maintain clear, well-structured technical documentation
