Our Software Developer Lead position requires strong technical leadership, strategic planning, and people management skills to drive successful software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will lead a team of developers, leverage Azure DevOps features, and ensure high-quality software delivery.

 

Required:

- 3+ years of experience managing software developers using Azure DevOps

- 5+ years of hands-on software development experience

- Strong technical background in .NET, Entity Framework, EF Core, LINQ, JavaScript frameworks, Microsoft SQL Server, database design, SQL, microservice architecture, API development, integration, cloud services, Microsoft DevOps practices, Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts), DevOps principles (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, release management), software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices (code reviews, source control, testing, deployment), version control systems (e.g., Git), automated build and deployment processes

Strong background in Agile methodologies and ability to implement practices within a development team. Experience partnering with product or program management teams. Highly motivated to excel and drive team success. Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Collaboration across teams. Insurance Industry knowledge a plus.

 

Lead and mentor a high-performing software development team to deliver high-quality solutions using Azure DevOps. Balance technical leadership and execution to meet delivery schedules. Build and maintain relationships with team leads, business analysts, and stakeholders. Ensure projects align with business objectives, timelines, and budgets. Collaborate and contribute to architectural tasks. Oversee the entire SDLC, from planning to post-deployment using Azure DevOps pipelines and boards. Configure and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD and automated testing. Manage technical debt, scalability, and system performance. Follow best practices in source code management, version control, and branching strategies using Azure Repos. Manage and track project progress and timelines using Azure Boards. Foster continuous improvement by monitoring key metrics and identifying areas for process optimization using Azure DevOps analytics. Provide regular reports on project status, risks, and issues to senior management.
