Role Overview
We’re seeking a seasoned IT leader to oversee and evolve our enterprise collaboration and communication tools. This individual will manage unified communications (UC), messaging systems, and digital collaboration platforms to support a productive and secure user environment. The ideal candidate brings a strong infrastructure background, a passion for enabling seamless digital workflows, and a track record of success in modern workplace technology operations.
Core Responsibilities

Drive the strategic direction and ongoing operations of enterprise communication platforms, including Microsoft Exchange Online, Teams, Zoom, and related Microsoft 365 services.

Champion innovative digital collaboration experiences and lead efforts to modernize workplace communication.

Manage both hybrid and cloud-native messaging solutions, ensuring performance, availability, and compliance.

Oversee voice and video communications, such as VoIP systems, Zoom Rooms, and AV conferencing setups.

Establish and enforce governance policies, including data retention, capacity planning, and system health monitoring.

Partner with Information Security to maintain regulatory compliance and implement security protocols like DLP, MFA, and encryption.

Collaborate across departments—HR, Legal, Security, and business units—to align tools and policies with employee needs.

Lead a team of engineers and third-party partners responsible for day-to-day support, incident resolution, and service optimization.

Manage vendor contracts, license renewals, and support escalation workflows.

Stay current with trends in UCaaS, employee experience technologies, and IT service delivery.

Collect usage metrics and user feedback to inform continuous improvements in tools and processes.

Develop internal training, documentation, and onboarding programs to ensure effective platform adoption.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering.

6–10+ years managing messaging and collaboration tools within a corporate IT environment.

Deep familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and administrative best practices.

Experience supporting multiple UC platforms like Zoom, WebEx, Cisco UC, or legacy tools like Skype for Business.

Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and support enterprise-scale systems.

Knowledge of monitoring tools, user analytics platforms (e.g., Nexthink, Lakeside), and digital experience optimization.

Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and manage change effectively.
Preferred Knowledge & Skills

Certifications such as Microsoft MS-700, MS-203, or ITIL are a plus.

Background in identity and access management (Azure AD, SSO, MFA) as it applies to collaboration platforms.

Experience using PowerShell or automation tools within ITSM frameworks.

Familiarity with workplace experience design, accessibility considerations, and governance strategy.
