Senior Category Manager – Weddings, Kids & Baby, and Pets

We’re on a mission to redefine commerce by making it more personal, meaningful, and community-focused. As a Senior Category Manager, you’ll have a key role in growing and shaping product categories that matter deeply to millions of buyers, while supporting the success of independent sellers across the globe.

This role sits within the Marketing organization and blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You'll be part market analyst, part merchant, and part collaborator—using insights to build impactful programs and elevate the customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own the strategic direction and performance of the Weddings, Kids & Baby, and Pets categories.

  • Build and maintain a category scorecard to monitor health, surface insights, and guide business decisions.

  • Develop robust reporting frameworks to track performance trends, flag opportunities, and measure impact.

  • Conduct and refine customer and competitive analysis to shape category growth strategies.

  • Identify and prioritize initiatives to accelerate gross merchandise sales (GMS) and expand category market share.

  • Partner cross-functionally with teams across Business Development, Product, Marketing, Strategy & Ops, Research, and Legal to bring end-to-end strategies to life.

  • Lead category merchandising efforts—including homepage features, promotions, programming, curated selections, and algorithm-informed placements.

  • Collaborate with Product teams on initiatives that unlock qualitative inventory insights to improve discoverability and category performance.

  • Continuously assess the impact of category efforts, run experiments, and iterate based on performance data to maximize results.

  • Work with Brand Strategy to define compelling category positioning that differentiates the brand in market and supports campaign planning year-round.


About You

  • 6+ years of experience in category management, brand strategy, merchandising, or marketplace growth—ideally in a consumer-facing, multi-sided platform or e-commerce setting.

  • Deep curiosity about customer behavior, with the ability to translate insights into strategy and execution.

  • Strong analytical mindset—you’re confident using data to drive narratives and decisions.

  • Proven track record of driving strategic initiatives across cross-functional teams.

  • Excellent communicator, able to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience leading or mentoring teams toward defined goals and measurable outcomes.

  • A passion for creative commerce and a strong belief in making business more human and community-driven.

 

This is a remote, work from home position. This role is to be filled outside the states of California and Colorado.
