Job Summary & Objectives
The Network Engineer III will be crucial in maintaining and advancing the organization’s network infrastructure while supporting operational excellence and innovation.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead complex network projects, make impactful decisions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The Network Engineer III will directly influence the robustness, efficiency, scalability, and security of network systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex network infrastructure to ensure high availability and optimal performance.

Resolve critical network issues and maintain network stability and security using advanced troubleshooting methods.

Oversee capacity planning , network security principles, and best practices for network management.

Manage installation and upgrades of hardware and network systems to meet evolving business needs.

Collaborate with teams across Architecture, Service Delivery, and Cybersecurity to ensure a cohesive and secure IT infrastructure.
- Mentor and guide network engineers and team members, promoting best practices in administration and security.

Stay current on emerging technologies and evaluate their applicability within the organization.

Perform network configuration, maintenance, and upgrades in a global environment.

Develop and implement network security measures and oversee performance testing.

Manage escalated network support issues and provide network status reports.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or 7+ years of relevant network engineering experience
Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of professional experience in network engineering

Expertise in managing and configuring enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN infrastructure

Strong understanding of routers, switches, firewalls, and related network protocols

Advanced knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols

Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for design and planning

Proficiency with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus devices; router configuration and hardening a plus

Working knowledge of IP routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)

Experience with Cisco ISE , Cisco ACI , and Cisco DNA preferred

Familiarity with tools such as ThousandEyes and SolarWinds

Experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls in medium/large enterprises, including global data centers

Knowledge of Web Security Systems, Two-Factor Authentication, SMTP Gateways, Cisco ASA, SSL VPN, GlobalProtect, SD-WAN (Palo Alto IONS), and Cisco Enterprise Wi-Fi solutions

Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, and mentoring skills

Cisco certifications are a plus
