Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our client’s growing infrastructure team. This individual will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and supporting a complex enterprise network environment, with a strong focus on security, automation, and future cloud-driven initiatives. You will collaborate with network managers, team leads, and cloud engineers to ensure seamless, secure, and scalable connectivity across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise network solutions across Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switching platforms.

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco ISE, DMVPN, and BGP-based routing solutions.

• Manage Palo Alto firewalls in Azure environments, ensuring robust security across cloud and on-premises workloads.

• Oversee Aruba access points and wireless infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity for end users.

• Collaborate with cloud engineering teams on hybrid initiatives, including security integration with SaaS solutions.

• Lead the transition from DMVPN to SD-WAN, with an emphasis on secure, scalable architecture.

• Develop and maintain automation and network scripting (Python strongly preferred) to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks.

• Provide advanced troubleshooting and mentoring to junior network team members.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of professional experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise environments.

• Strong expertise with Cisco networking: Nexus, Catalyst, ISE, switching, and routing.

• Proficiency with Palo Alto firewalls, preferably in Azure cloud deployments.

• In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, DMVPN) and WAN architectures.

• Hands-on experience with Aruba wireless solutions.

• Demonstrated ability with automation and scripting, especially Python.

• Experience designing and implementing secure network architectures, with exposure to SD-WAN migrations a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent)

• Palo Alto or other security certifications (PCNSE, etc.)

• Experience with SaaS connectivity and cloud security integrations
