Senior Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Global Infrastructure Management: Oversee the continuous operation and enhancement of diverse, multi-site network environments, ensuring maximum uptime and strategic capacity expansion.

• Architecture & Innovation: Serve as a technical authority in designing future-state network frameworks, focusing on reliability and cutting-edge performance.

• Performance Engineering: Conduct rigorous benchmarking, lab testing, and capacity modeling to minimize latency and ensure seamless scalability across the global fabric.

• Complex Problem Solving: Lead the diagnosis and remediation of intricate connectivity and performance bottlenecks using creative technical strategies and collaborative troubleshooting.

• Automation & Tooling: Develop and deploy custom automated solutions for network provisioning, diagnostic monitoring, and rapid infrastructure deployment.

• Vendor Relations: Partner with hardware and service providers to evaluate emerging technologies and prototype new designs for competitive advantage.

Requirements (Must-have)

• Professional Experience: At least 7 years of dedicated experience in network engineering, with a proven track record in low-latency or high-frequency environments.

• Hardware Expertise: Comprehensive experience designing and deploying enterprise-grade routers, switches, and security appliances.

• Protocol Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in tuning dynamic routing protocols and managing complex multicast environments.

• Modern Fabric Networking: Hands-on experience with EVPN-VXLAN architectures for building robust overlay and underlay networks.

• Security & Edge: Solid background in managing VPN infrastructure, firewalls, and public-facing internet connectivity.

• Analytical Depth: Deep understanding of the TCP/IP stack with the ability to perform packet-level analysis using industry-standard diagnostic tools.

• DevOps Mindset: Advanced scripting and automation skills, specifically utilizing Python and Ansible to manage infrastructure as code.

• Domain Expertise: Direct experience within the financial services or electronic trading sectors.
