We are seeking a skilled Server Administrator to join our team and ensure our infrastructure remains stable, secure, and optimized for growth.
Position Overview
The Server Administrator will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining the firm’s on-premises and cloud-based server infrastructure. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Windows Server environments, virtualization technologies, security best practices, and high-availability systems commonly used in financial services.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and file/print services.

Oversee server performance, storage systems, and virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar).

Implement and maintain system backups, disaster recovery plans, and high-availability strategies.

Ensure system security through patching, vulnerability remediation, access management, and compliance with industry regulations (e.g., SEC, FINRA, SOC standards).

Collaborate with network, cybersecurity, and application teams to support trading, research, and operations workflows.

Monitor server health, availability, and capacity; implement optimizations as needed.

Maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and infrastructure changes.

Support after-hours maintenance windows and provide on-call support on a rotating basis.
Qualifications
Required
-
3–7 years of experience as a Server Administrator, Systems Engineer, or similar role.

Strong proficiency with Windows Server , Active Directory , and VMware/Hyper-V .

Experience with backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Rubrik, Commvault).

Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, subnets, firewalls, VPNs).

Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Datadog).

Experience applying security best practices and working within regulated environments.

Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced financial environment.
Preferred

Experience in investment management, hedge fund, banking, or trading environments.
