Position: Linux Systems Administrator
Location: Tampa, FL (Hybrid, 2–3 days per week onsite)

Role Overview
We are seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to support a growing technology environment based in Tampa. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience managing and supporting Linux systems, along with exposure to AWS cloud services and light automation or scripting skills. This individual should also present well and be comfortable joining senior leadership on client visits to provide technical support during demos, discussions, and sales-related meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Linux-based systems across production and development environments.

• Support and monitor AWS infrastructure (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).

• Develop and maintain light automation scripts or tools (Python, Bash, or similar) to streamline operations.

• Implement system updates, patches, and performance optimizations to ensure uptime and compliance.

• Work with engineering teams to support deployments, monitoring, and configuration management.

• Participate in system troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and infrastructure improvements.

• Assist in enforcing security and compliance best practices across systems and cloud environments.

• Occasionally travel with executives to client sites, helping present technical solutions and ensuring seamless technology demonstrations.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator or in a similar role.

• Strong proficiency with Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, or similar distributions).

• Working knowledge of AWS cloud environments and services.

• Basic scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, comfortable in client-facing settings.

• Must be based in Tampa, FL or nearby (hybrid schedule).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, or containerization tools.

• Exposure to financial systems, capital markets, or trading technology environments.

• Understanding of regulatory reporting or trade surveillance systems.
