Technology Applications Specialist & Trainer
Morris County, NJ – 4 days onsite / 1 day remote
We are seeking a dynamic, tech-savvy professional to join our team as a Technology Applications Specialist & Trainer. This hybrid role blends application support, interactive training, and change management, serving as a key link between IT, end-users, and leadership. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping professionals adopt technology efficiently and optimize workflows.
Key Responsibilities
User Training & Enablement

Lead onboarding sessions for new hires, ensuring a smooth introduction to core applications and technology practices.

Design and deliver training programs, both virtual and in-person, tailored to business professionals and support staff.

Develop engaging content including weekly “Tech Tips,” short tutorials, and training videos to promote ongoing learning.

Maintain and update a library of training manuals, quick-start guides, and video resources.

Support the delivery of Security Awareness Training curriculum and encourage user participation.
Application Support & Optimization

Act as a subject matter expert for core business applications such as document management systems (NetDocuments, iManage, etc.), workflow tools, and Microsoft 365.

Troubleshoot document management workflows, templates, macros, and related integrations.

Partner with support managers to identify training opportunities and streamline workflows to improve productivity.

Assist in testing, deployment, and adoption of new software, upgrades, and integrations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate with IT leadership to implement firmwide productivity applications.

Participate in pilot groups, feedback sessions, and rollout initiatives for new tools or system enhancements.

Track training feedback and usage metrics to refine programs and drive adoption.
Qualifications
Required
-
5+ years of experience in technology training, IT support, or applications specialist roles within a professional services or corporate environment.

Strong knowledge of document management systems (NetDocuments preferred, iManage acceptable).

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint), including advanced user features or admin-level experience.

Proficiency with training content tools such as Camtasia, Snagit, or similar platforms.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Preferred

Familiarity with tools such as BigHand, DocStyle, and LexisNexis, or similar platforms.

Experience supporting Security Awareness Training in a corporate setting.

Experience with enterprise ticketing systems (e.g., ConnectWise Manage) and remote support software.

Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) are encouraged (training and certification support available).
