About the Opportunity We are seeking a high-ownership Technology Operations Engineer to join a premier proprietary trading firm at the vital intersection of automated trading, software development, and systems administration. Responsibilities

  • Maintain the integrity of global trading platforms by proactively monitoring system health and performance.

  • Diagnose and resolve intricate technical hurdles to ensure maximum uptime for live trading strategies.

  • Partner closely with Risk Management and Trading teams to implement and support evolving business requirements.

  • Coordinate daily system updates and provide clear, firm-wide communication regarding operational status.

  • Develop and enhance automation for software distribution across both Linux and Windows environments.

  • Engineer custom internal tools designed to minimize manual effort and eliminate operational risk.

  • Support a global follow-the-sun model by participating in a rotating schedule covering US and Asia-Pacific market hours.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a technically equivalent field.

  • 1–3 years of professional experience managing or developing within Linux environments.

  • Proficiency operating across both Windows and Linux platforms.

  • Competency in at least one scripting language, with a strong preference for Python.

  • Working knowledge of distributed version control systems (e.g., Git).

  • Familiarity with enterprise configuration management frameworks (e.g., SaltStack, Ansible, or similar).

  • Exposure to infrastructure monitoring suites and observability tools.

  • Proven ability to prioritize high-urgency tasks with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Strong collaborative communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-frequency trading or financial services environments.

  • Advanced automation skills geared toward reducing deployment lead times.
