Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Windows Engineer to join our IT Infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting and maintaining Windows-based systems in an enterprise environment. This role involves daily system administration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, automation, patch management, and collaboration with other infrastructure and application teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support Windows Server environments (2012/2016/2019/2022) including domain controllers, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services

  • Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and PowerShell scripting for automation

  • Patch and remediate servers using WSUS, SCCM, or other patching tools

  • Participate in migrations, upgrades, and system refreshes

  • Implement and maintain monitoring, backup, and recovery solutions

  • Work closely with security teams to ensure system hardening and compliance

  • Troubleshoot issues related to system performance, network connectivity, and third-party applications

  • Participate in on-call rotation and support escalations as needed

  • Document system configurations, changes, and standard operating procedures

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Windows engineering or systems administration role

  • Strong expertise in Windows Server and Active Directory administration

  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for task automation and reporting

  • Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)

  • Familiarity with cloud environments (Azure, AWS) is a plus

  • Experience with Microsoft System Center Suite, SCCM, or similar tools

  • Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)

  • Knowledge of security standards and patch management best practices

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team

Preferred Certifications (Nice to Have):

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

  • MCSA / MCSE (legacy but still respected)

  • CompTIA Security+ or other relevant certifications
